Welcome to the web pages of the Alvin, Texas Church of the Nazarene. Alvin Nazarene is a Protestant, evangelical church. We believe in the virgin birth, that Jesus died for our sins and was raised to life on the third day. We believe our sins can be forgiven and that we can be enabled to live a clean life before God. We believe the Lord can make a difference in every life! Our worship is informal. Dress is generally "smart casual." We pride ourselves in making visitors feel welcome. Come and visit…our church can be your home! As a Christian community, our vision is to build bridges: - Between God and people
- To One Another
- To Our World
Hear recording artist and speaker Shannon Perry in concert at Alvin Nazarene on Sunday morning, June 28 at 10:30. There is no admission fee (a love offering will be received).
We are a Church of Second Chances In our church family we have many stories of how God reached out to us, not once, but repeatedly. With that in mind, we see our mission as one of sharing God's grace with people who want another chance with God. We believe God is already at work in many lives, causing people to hunger for himself, graciously extending forgiveness and hope to them. Having experienced that grace ourselves, we now work with God in offering this invitation of hope. If you are hungry for God in your life, if you need a second chance, we want you to know that you will find a warm welcome, and more than that, real hope at Alvin Church of the Nazarene, a church of second chances. |

Our parsonage couple is Pastor Scott and Jackie Cundiff. Pastor Scott has been here at Alvin Church of the Nazarene since September of 1999. You can listen to many of his Sunday morning sermons at Sermon Pod Cast, in fact, you can even subscribe to them there. Pastor Scott also writes a daily devotional called: Daily Devotional Writing from Pastor Scott. Those devotionals are archived by book of the Bible on his web site: PastorScott.com. He also maintains General Writing from Pastor Scott as a place for occasional thoughts and comments. Our pastor is co-host of a radio program called Classic Gospel Southern Style. He and Ellis Manly present a weekly two hour program of great southern gospel from years gone by that is aired on a few stations around the country. Pastor Scott is a DJ at KJIC, the Gospel Music Radio station for the Houston/Galveston area. He is on the air on Sunday afternoons and overnight there. |
