How to be Saved E-mail
The Gospel ABC's God loves you very much. He is longing for a relationship with you and has provided a way that you can get to know Him.

The Bible gives us some steps to follow in order to receive Jesus as Savior. It's as simple as A, B, C.

Admit that you are a sinner - Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Believe that God sent Jesus to take your punishment - John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Confess that you have sinned and that Jesus is now #1 in your life - Romans 10:9,10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

How To Be Saved
  1. Come to the Lord, confessing your sin and your need of him. (Psalms 51:17 -- "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.")
  2. Trust the Lord to forgive you of your sins. (1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.")
  3. Turn away from your old, sinful life. (Ezekiel 33:19 - "And if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing so.")
  4. Place your faith in Jesus as your Savior (Philippians 3:9 - "…not having a righteousness of my own…but that which is through faith in Christ- the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.")
What Happens In Salvation?
  1. Forgiveness: God pardons us and sets us free from the penalty of our sinful acts
  2. Justification: God counts Christ's death on the cross as to our benefit, making it "just-as-if" we had never sinned
  3. Regeneration: God gives us new life, we are "born again"
  4. Adoption: God welcomes us into his royal family, we are granted all the privileges of being children of the King!
Living the Christian Life
  1. Be baptized as a witness to everyone that you are now a Christian.
  2. Meet with God's people. Make church attendance a steady part of your life.
  3. Seek out Christian friends who will encourage you in your spiritual life.
  4. Become a student of God's Word. Read it daily.
  5. Pray daily, making space for God to work in your life.
  6. Pursue God in all of your life; begin seeking the deeper walk with God by being open to him.
